CHRISTMAS TREES, WREATHS, DOOR DECORATIONS

Advance Sales through October 28!
Pick up on Saturday, December 3

This year, Taiko Arts Center (501c3) - in conjunction with Habilitat (501c3) - is
selling CHRISTMAS TREES, WREATHS and DOOR DECORATIONS~!!!

Choose between Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, Noble Fir, Wreaths, and Door Charms
All trees are high quality and kept in refrigerated containers until pick up.
Pick up on December 3rd at 6 convenient locations.

All proceeds will be utilized to support TAC's taiko educational programs including the exciting "Art of Taiko" lecture/demonstration which is presented to schools, libraries, senior homes, correctional facilities, and community organizations. Please help support Taiko Arts Center by purchasing your holiday tree and decorations from Taiko Arts Center.

Purchase a $10 event ticket from Taiko Arts Center and receive exclusive store discounts at Ward Center during the "Festival of Giving." There will be entertainment, free gift wrapping, bag check, and other festivities to enjoy. Taiko Center of the Pacific Youth Group will perform on Saturday, November 5 at 1 pm.

Purchase your "Festival of Giving" tickets from the taiko students and instructors at KCC classes.

2011 Taiko and Sabar Project

Kenny Endo, Kapono Ciotti, and Tirrell McGruder join forces to create a
new piece for the Kenny Endo Taiko Ensemble. Combining taiko with the magic
of Western African Sabar drumming.

Supported in part by the Mayor's Office on Culture and the Arts,
this collaboration will premier the new piece in Fall 2011.

2011-2012 "Uncommon Time: Taiko, Tabla, and Timba" Project

Three master musicians come together to collaborate and each compose a
new work, based in the composer's own aesthetic but orchestrating to incorporate
all three musicians' styles and instrumentations. The TTT porject features
Kenny Endo (taiko), Ahibjit Banerjee (tabla),
and John Santos (timbales, congas, and Latin percussion)

and its related arts through education, preservation,
innovation, and collaboration.
